A Few Centennial Keepsakes Still Available

Walnut Creek 100 Centennial

Centennial Birthday Festival celebrants truly showed their pride for Walnut Creek at the Centennial Store. By the end of the October 18 Festival, Centennial merchandise was virtually sold out!  A few items still are available for purchase. Gets yours while they last!

The Walnut Creek Historical Society offers two books about Walnut Creek.

  • An Illustrated History (2009), by Brad Rovanpera
  • Vintage Homes & Family Recipes, A Historic Homes Cookbook (2014)

A few bottles of the Centennial Wine are still available. Local vintner Shadowbrook Winery has produced a special Centennial blend, created from eight different red varietals representing Walnut Creek soil, climate, and topography – terroir, in the language of winemakers. Orders can be placed through Shadowbrook100.com. The wine sells for $100 per bottle, and for every sale, Shadowbrook Winery donates $50 of the purchase price to the Walnut Creek Historical Society. Only 600 bottles have been produced and after 2014, this special Centennial blend will no longer be available.
